Ever since her spectacular “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” performance from theElf soundtrack, I’ve been a huge fan of Zooey Deschanel’s gift for perfect phrasing (and I’ve loved her acting all the back since her hilarious performance in The Good Girl in 2002). So it was quite a treat when she released such a great debut album as she did last year with Volume One and the song below is its most shining moment. Of the 10,768 songs currently in my i-tunes/i-pod, this is the 5th most played song of the last 14 months. As charming a little plea from the unrequitedly loving as exists. And I first fell in love with the song by watching the equally charming video over and over again:

I love Zooey Deschanel! I always enjoyed her acting, but she really grabbed my attention with Baby It’s Cold Outside in Elf too!
